GLADSTONE - Latest News

Gladstone finalized its smoking ordinance on Monday, February 23, 2009 but not without one final amendment.  The amendment stated that there would be a sunset date on the existing businesses that hold liquor licenses.  Those businesses have 36 months to file for the exemption before they have to comply with the new law.  The smoking ordinance exempts bowling alleys, billiard halls, and businesses that seat 50 people or less as long as the signs are posted.  These exemptions are not included in the 36-month sunset.
