NORTH KANSAS CITY GOES SMOKE FREE

The North Kansas City Council voted 7-1 on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 to pass a smoke free ordinance or the city.  Becoming effective in August, the ordinance is based off the voter passed KCMO ordinance and will include all workplaces, restaurants, and bars.  Casino floors will be exempt until casinos in Riverside and Wyandotte County, KS are covered by similar ordinances. Congratulations to the North Kansas City Council on protecting all NKC citizens and workers from the hazards of secondhand smoke.
