Belton - Latest News Belton residents approved a smoking ordinance for the city on April 7, 2009.  However, the ordinance gives existing businesses a three years exemption.  Businesses that have installed special ventilation systems will receive a seven year exemption.  For those businesses without an exemption, it goes into effect immediately.Join CAKC and receive email updates on action in your city See Metro Smoke-Free Cities ProgressTake Action
If you live in Belton OR know someone who lives in Belton who is in favor of a comprehensive smoke free ordinance, please have them write or call the City Council as soon as possible. If you send an e-mail ask the recipient to forward the email to their contacts in Blue Springs. Belton residents, please make your feelings known.
